Cycle for Life - Customized Cycle for People with Special Needs

How I Serve

I search for emerging companies, technologies, disruptive technologies, innovations, start-ups and up-starts. I’ll look to match potential problems… e.g. “plastic pollution” to solutions… e.g. 3D Printer for recycled plastic waste…for potential venture capitalists, angel investors, and online funders. I’ll also highlight a variety of topics including funding success stories, the environment, housing, medical, artificial intelligence, science, aging populations, disabled populations, social entrepreneurs, philanthropy, and topical news. I’m always searching for great people innovating, inventing, and doing, great things.

I don’t endorse. Only disseminate.

OUR VISION
Cycle for Life recognizes the overwhelming need for individuals with special needs to have access to therapy equipment built specifically for their needs.
We are fully dedicated to addressing this underserved market. We plan to expand our Coordinating staff so we can reach more Civic Groups throughout the country. This empowers Cycle for Life to tap into more communities and begin identifying local private foundations willing to help. Ultimately, this creates greater access to our life-changing products at no cost to families.
We are committed to growing our business with the expertise and manufacturing capacity to fulfill the vision.
WE SERVE, YOU CYCLE
Cycle for Life products are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of each individual who receives a cycle.
The cycles are available with a handlebar that can be pushed forward and pulled back to propel the cycle. This action provides excellent cardiovascular exercise and a fun way to ride. We also have a variety of cycles without the handlebar propulsion system, allowing all individuals to have accessible cycle options according to their needs.
Our revolutionary design is endorsed by the Texas Tech Medical School Physical Therapy Department for the many benefits it provides to riders of all levels of disability, including:
o  The ability for individuals without the use of their legs to ride a cycle, including
those with Spina Bifida and other paralysis
o  An opportunity for the disabled and those otherwise confined individuals to be
outdoors with others, receive much needed therapy, and participate in quality
       socialization
o  Great upper body and cardiovascular therapy that is effective and fun
o  A revolutionary cycle for the blind to ride outdoors!
HOW CYCLE FOR LIFE WORKS
Cycle for Life provides unique outdoor therapy cycles to individuals with specialized physical and mental needs. Our goal is to empower riders to receive regular, at-home outdoor exercise 365 days a year at no cost to families.
How do we do it? With the help of local Civic Groups and private foundations who believe in our mission.
Cycle for Life Coordinators engage local Civic Groups who want to commit to helping the special needs members in their communities.
We then research local private foundations and write requests for grants on behalf of the Civic Groups. Many of these requests receive funding.
After the funds are received, Cycle for Life in partnership with the Civic Groups identifies children and adults, including wounded warriors, who need therapy, exercise and socialization.

The Civic Groups will assess the needs, takes measurements, and places orders for cycles with Cycle for Life, who fulfills the order.
Cycles are assembled and then given out at a community event, creating a day of happiness and excitement.
